Small Community Arsenic Removal Systems
The Small Community Arsenic Removal System is made up of sealed polyglass tanks connected in series. (Tanks are also referred to as columns). The Systems are all engineered to work with the community's water chemistry and usage. The small community systems will range in the size, number and configuration of the tanks. The system is instrumented with on/off valves, sample collection ports, pressure gauges, and totalizer flow meters.
Untreated water flows to the first column of each treatment train of the system. Each treatment train consists of oxidation and adsorption treatment columns. The oxidation column contains ATS A/P Complex 2002 Oxidation Media which functions to convert Arsenic III to Arsenic V. Immediately following the oxidation treatment are columns containing A/I Complex 2000 Adsorption Media which functions to remove all arsenic. Each system is designed with multiple treatment columns to provide a fail safe redundant arsenic removal system. The system is completely neutral with regard to tastes and odors - it neither causes them nor treats for them.
The Small Community Systems can process a flow rate up to 1,000 gallons per minute and work with varying arsenic concentrations.
