High-Volume Pump Inlet Strainers

The Action Engineering Inc. High-olume Pump Inlet Strainers shown protect the pumps of an oil skimming/ separation system. These strainers are sized to permit long system operation times.

All internal wetted surfaces are protected by baked-on epoxy coating. The baskets are made of perforated stainless steel, sized to permit liquid flow through while capturing bottle caps, towels, wiping rags and other trash removed from the sump surface by the Hunter Oil Skimmers(not shown).

The barrels of these units are made from heavy-duty oilfield pipe, with dished heads and bolt-down legs.

The O-ring-gasketed top head automatically seals with minimum head-bolt tension when the downstream pump begins suction through the unit. The head is easily removed for basket removal to dump trash.
