Maintenance Lifting Equipment: Sockets
Datasheet: eme Sockets
While our maintenance lifting equipment is made of lightweight aluminum, our Sockets are made of Mild Steel and powdercoated in Safety Yellow which allows them to be seen easily on the site, particularly in poor weather conditions.
With a standard height of 42" our Sockets eliminate the trip-hazard so common with short sockets. This height allows our Sockets to be placed beside safety railings which allows for a greater reach than davits that use short sockets.
A variety of Socket styles are available to meet the unique maintenance lifting situations found in Plants and at remote sites. Flush Mount, Side Mount, 8 – 60 in. Center and End Mount and Custom 42 in.-Side Mount Sockets are available.
If the situation does not allow for the 42" Socket, we can put in either a Flush Mount Socket, which is more discreet in public places, or an 8" Socket in Safety Yellow.
These two shorter Sockets are used with the Socket Extender which does exactly that – it extends the height of the Socket. The Socket Extender is 42" tall; only the 750 and 1100 Model DAVITS are used with this maintenance lifting equipment.
eme's range of Socket styles is unmatched in the industry. No longer are Plant-Design Engineers or Plant Owners forced to make do with just one, two or three socket styles. eme offers more than 12 different Socket styles, each designed to solve a lifting problem.
eme Sockets, like all of our maintenance lifting equipment, are designed to meet three goals:
- Improve Operator safety
- Increase Plant maintenance efficiency
- Reduce equipment costs.
