Fluid Components International (FCI) announces that registration is open for its next free customer training Product Knowledge Workshop, which will take place on October 4-5 in San Marcos, California, and October 17-19 in Beijing, China. These workshops are designed to provide customers comprehensive training on FCI thermal dispersion mass flow meters, flow switches, and level switches.

The classes will include the first live training for the recently announced next-generation MT100 Series Multipoint Air/Gas Flow Meter designed for large stack and duct monitoring to meet environmental compliance regulations. FCI’s MT100 Flow Meters combine state-of-art electronics technology with application-proven precision flow sensors in a rugged package designed for the most demanding plant operating environments. They provide temperature-compensated direct mass flow measurement of air and gases for precise, repeatable measurement with low maintenance requirements in large diameter pipes, stacks and rectangular duct installations.

FCI’s MT100 Series air/gas Flow Meters are available with two to eight flow rate sensing points to overcome these issues. The sensors are inserted at various depths within a pipe or duct and their outputs are multiplexed and averaged to produce the flow rate within the process line. In hot, dirty and/or moist or corrosive stack gases, these meters also excel because there are no moving parts, orifices or glass windows to foul or clog.

To register for FCI’s Product Knowledge Workshops, call FCI's Training Department at 1-800-863-8703, 760-736-6117 or email training_tm@fluidcomponents.com. Interest lists are now also being formed for future classes in Europe and the Middle East. The classes, accommodations, refreshments and lunch are at no charge at FCI’s corporate office in San Marcos, California. Attendees provide their own transportation to FCI’s training facilities.

FCI’s products are requested by name in many of the world’s most demanding environments for flow instrumentation. They are recognized for their precision measurement accuracy and repeatability in harsh conditions, where their high performance ensures both end-product quality and operational safety.

FCI’s flow meters are designed with advanced thermal dispersion mass flow sensors. They combine precision flow measurement accuracy with a rugged design that is compatible with caustic, corrosive, humid and high temperature environments. They are highly reliable, easy to install, require virtually no maintenance and are designed for long-life.

FCI flow switches feature an advanced no-moving parts thermal dispersion flow sensor that makes them ideal for a wide range of point-level process applications. Their versatile design also allows them to measure flow or level or temperature. The company’s NuTec flow switch is designed with a unique non-contacting flow element that completely separates the sensor from the process media, which makes it ideal in sanitary flow processes common to the food/beverage and pharmaceutical industries.

Flow conditioners developed by FCI’s Vortab Company provide a low-pressure loss solution to correcting flow profile irregularities that affect the accuracy of flow instrumentation. In today’s crowded plants, elbows, valves, blowers and other devices in the pipeline can disrupt flowing media, which reduces measurement accuracy. Vortab flow conditioners eliminate these flow disturbances to ensure accurate data.

All FCI products are tested and calibrated to rigorous standards at FCI’s world-class, fully NIST traceable flow calibration laboratories to ensure instrument accuracy with the customers’ actual fluid and process conditions. FCI’s calibration laboratories are ISO9001:2008 certified and AS9100 compliant. They also meet MIL-STD-45662A and ANSI/NCSL-Z-540 requirements. The company’s advanced technologies also include mechanical design, advanced materials, metallurgy, electronics, communications and more.

Fluid Components International is a global company committed to meeting the needs of its customers through innovative solutions to the most challenging requirements for sensing, measuring and controlling flow, level and temperature of air, gases and liquids.
