A Montana Water District was under an Administrative Order of Compliance by the EPA to install filtration to comply with the Surface Water Treatment Rule (LT2ESWTR) or possibly loose their only water source, the Missouri River.

The District is a rural water system serving around 200 residents The District contracted with Great West Engineering to upgrade the drinking water system to meet Surface Water Treatment Rule (LT2ESWTR) After comparison to conventional, membrane or direct filtration systems it was determined that Harmsco’s Municipal Cartridge Filtration Systems would save the District over $1 million.
