Israel, a country dealing with an increasing urban population and located in an arid climate, has by necessity developed into a global leader in the recycling and purification of wastewater. However, the environmental conditions and human challenges that Israel faces are by no means specific to Israel. Much of the U.S. faces these same pressures, making the adoption of Israeli water-quality technologies an attractive and pragmatic solution for solving problems in the wastewater and water-quality field.
